This site is a learning site for me, as much as an information site for our club members.

Bear with me I need time to learn

1. On arrival, ensure car is parked in the designated area. Close gate at all times.

2. No starting of engines or flying before 8.00am.

3. All transmitters to be certified when new, or have had repairs after a bad crash.

They must be placed in the pound on arrival at the field and a frequency key with your name and channel number is to be placed on the board before the transmitter is switched on.

Minimum channel spacing is 20KHz.

4. After each flight, remove your key and replace the transmitter back in the pound, making sure it is switched off.

5. If two or more pilots are on the same frequency, only a maximum of 20 minutes key time is allowed.

6. Keys are not to be removed from the board except by the owner or a committee member.

7. The starting of engines to be carried out in the pits and all aircraft are to be suitably restrained when starting.

8. Taxi out under power - taxi in only to end of taxiway. Pilot is responsible to ensure that no other aircraft is approaching the runway during taxi out and take off.

9. Pilots must fly from the designated pilot area only.

1O. Before taking off, pilots must get permission from the pilots already flying e.g. call out  "0. K. to take off?"

11. Flying over the pit and spectator areas is not permitted (Refer Keyboard map.)

12. Hand launch must be from the runway.

13. To retrieve a plane from the field, call for all to hear 'on the strip' and then move off to  the pits side of the field as quickly as possible and call 'strip clear'.

14. All models must be fitted with effective silencing devices.

15. A visitor wishing to enter the pits area must be accompanied by a club member at all times.

16. Members of the public, young children and pets, must be behind the pit area at all times for safety reasons.

17. Glider launching lines / bungies will be laid out to avoid interference with power planes. Gliders in flight must join the normal pattern for landing. Pilots must stand in the pilot area and generally fly up wind.

18. Any visitor wishing to fly shall produce evidence of MAAA affiliation as proof of insurance, and shall sign the visitor's book.

19. Members must be financial before flying.

20. Club meetings will be as required and notified to members.

21. Any committee member may ground a member for that day, if he is deemed to be in contravention of these rules.

22. Last person out must lock the gate, toilets and the water.
